Rooftop Movies Show - Fringe World

As far as first times go, my first experience at the rooftop movies was everything I could have wanted it to be.

An immersive cinema experience, we were guided by the incredible Sugar Duchess into a saucy showcase of talent, alongside a fabulous movie.

The beauty of summer in Perth lends to the ambiance, a slowly setting sun accompanied by gorgeously costumed performers mingling with the crowd as we treated ourselves to Mack Daddy’s pizza and beverages on our comfy beanbags- the perfect start to any evening.

Peaches and Cream, Lulu Liquor, Fifi Fontaine, Wild Kat and John Doe performed beautifully pre movie, with an especially sensual performance by Fifi Fontaine that left the crowd in rambunctious applause. The film itself is an absolute guilty pleasure, the all star cast of Cher and Christina Aguilera, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci and Alan Cummings putting on a fabulous performance- but during this immersive experience during musical numbers all eyes were on our live burlesque performers, showcasing their talents live, and in between the aisles.

With an absolutely show stopping soundtrack, Burlesque had the audience grooving along as Christina Aguilera showcases her jaw dropping vocal performance, and with talented showgirls both on and off screen, I can safely say that this was one of the most enjoyable cinematic experiences I’ve had in a long time.
